Kara spent 7 years helping youth with developmental delays to address behavioral and emotional problems resulting from trauma and neglect. Since 2015 she has worked with youth as young as 5, and their families, to address behavioral and emotional concerns that cause disruption in their lives. Through these experiences Kara has assisted with learning to manage symptoms related to attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, conduct disorder, oppositional defiance disorder, schizo-affective disorder, major depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and many more.
Kara is an experienced art therapist, military brat, wife, and mother of three teenage boys.
"I have discovered the value of humor and silliness when facing a life that seems overwhelming. As an art therapist, I've assisted in helping make the world feel more hopeful by introducing new ways to communicate."
"It has always been my desire to help people. I have been so inspired by every individual that walks in my door asking for help to change. It is exciting and humbling to be able to participate in this journey. It is my goal to meet each person where they are and make the process as fun and motivational as possible."
