Counseling for Adults, Children, Families, and Groups
Solutions to provide Hope and Healing
At Belleville Counseling Associates, we believe that counseling is a
journey to improved mental health, improved patterns of thinking, and
better relationships with family and partners. We are professionally
trained, licensed, and experienced and can provide psych education,
tools, and coping skills for our clients. At the same time, we consider
our clients as their own greatest resource in finding happiness. We
help our clients connect to their inner strengths and we join with them
on this path of change for a better quality of life.

Linda Spriggs, MSW, LCSW
If you are like many people in our country today, you have experienced
depression, anxiety, grief, loss, life changes, economic hardship, relationship
and family stressors. You may feel that these challenges are overwhelming
and that you don't feel you have the support to overcome them alone. I'm
here to help you face these stressors and develop new skills to cope and to
achieve the dreams you believe in. I believe that everyone has within them
the courage and strength to reach their highest potential and that I can help
you tap into that inner wealth of resources.
I respect and honor all spiritual beliefs. I offer Christ Centered Counseling for
Christians who know how powerful it is to bring God on their counseling
journey through prayer.
I am a licensed "Kids in the Middle" and offer weekly groups to support kids
going through divorce. I also provide Anger Management Training for clients in
either individual or ongoing group sessions.

Life can present serious struggles to all of us. During those times, the
assistance of a trained counselor provides effective support to sort through
your options, and to make choices true to your life goals and values. If you are
at a crossroads or feel bogged down by past decisions, counseling offers you
a time and place to re-assess and prepare for the next stage of your journey.
Prior to clinical work, I was an academic advisor at a local university for 15
years. I enjoy working with children ages 6 and over, teens, and adults. I
have experience assisting people with depression and anxiety issues,
communication issues, the complications of living with ADHD, parenting, play
therapy, and life coaching. I have extensive training in Parent-Child Interaction
Therapy. I participate in a therapists' self study group on counseling youth
and their families who are addressing sexual identity issues.

I have been working in this field for thirteen years, and really enjoy working
with people to help them rediscover their balance, and who they are meant to
be. Depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and traumatic life events are some of
the things which if less unaddressed can prevent life from being a satisfying,
fulfilling experience.
I work with individuals and also with families. The ages I work with range from
age 4 and up. I enjoy working with children and teens because of their unique
perspective on life, but also enjoy working with adults as well. Doing both
gives me immense satisfaction in my work. I work with depression, anxiety,
grief issues, ADHD, trauma recovery and ptsd, including recovery from
childhood abuse, and with behavioral issues with children.

Many people find themselves needing to explore feelings to heal from life
changes, life stressors, loss of a loved one or traumatic experiences.
Art Therapy is a form of expressive therapy that uses the creative process of
making art to improve a person’s physical, mental and emotional well-being.
The creative process can help people resolve issues as well as develop and
manage their behaviors and feelings, reduce stress and improve self-esteem
and awareness.
I work with children, youth and adults and specialize in healing from trauma
and abuse. I have worked for over 14 years with families to overcome
domestic/relationship abuse through education and empowerment. I
encourage clients to explore feelings, build healthy family relationships and
develop self-respect. I guide my clients through the creative process for self-
expression, self-discovery and healing.
